It's difficult to realistically rank a football club's managers given that there are many factors outside the top man's control.
Some managers inherited poor teams; the club may have had to battle with limited finances during a manager's reign; his teams may have played poorly but won trophies or attractively but lost games.
Ultimately, however, a manager is judged on results and so this ranking is based on results.

The Points Percentage figure is the number of notional points a manager won during all competitive games divided by the the total number of notional points that were available (multiplied by 100%) and is based on 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw.

I've also included a Win Percentage too, as this seems popular nowadays - although I don't think it gives a true picture of a manager's overall performance.
It's calculated simply by dividing the number of wins by the number of games played, multiplied by 100%.
