THE EVERTON FC HERITAGE
SOCIETY
|
|
The EFC Heritage Society was formed by Dr. David France initially to oversee the Everton Collection and offer advice on its contents and acquisitions so as to expand the Collection as a 'living thing' and not let it stagnate. Those whom David asked to help form the society were ordinary Evertonians who had a love and passion for all things Everton. Some had researched the History of St Domingo’s Church Cricket Team which evolved into Everton Football Club, and every game and every mention of Everton Football Club is being hunted down with Sherlock Holmes-like precision. However, it was felt that the knowledge that these Evertonians had accumulated was not being used to its full extent. It was thus decided that the Society put itself forward as an Information Centre for the Club and for Evertonians, or indeed any football fan, who had an enquiry relating to Everton Football Club. |

The Society is not
claiming to be the Mastermind of the Club's History. What we are saying
is that we have a vast amount of knowledge, but we also believe there
are others out there who have pieces of our History that we know nothing
about. The Jigsaw is not complete, not by a long way.
Together with fellow Evertonians and other Clubs' Historians we hope to uncover the lost jewels of knowledge and memorabilia that may be lying dormant in someone’s mind, or in a dusty loft. We can also help families uncover details about their relatives who may have once played for Everton. The EFC Heritage Society is a Help Desk, an Information Bureau, and a Collection of Evertonian egg-heads. However, it is not an anorak thing or an elite order; it can be expanded by new members who have the same love and desire for Everton Football Club and its History. Ultimately, it is 'True Blues' sharing their knowledge and Love of Everton F.C. with anyone who cares to listen. To get in touch, e-mail the Society at info@efcheritagesociety.com |
