The normal Football League was suspended at the end of the 1914/15
season due to World War I.
It was replaced with regional leagues - and in 1918/19 Everton played
in the Lancashire Section
Principal Tournament until March 29th 1919 and the Lancashire Section
Subsidiary
Tournament (Group D) after that (although the Subsidiary Tournament
match at home to Liverpool
actually took place in January 1919).
* The League Championship Play-Off took place over two legs between
Everton, the winners of
the Lancashire Section, and Nott'm Forest, the
winners of the Midlands Section Principal
Tournaments.
Match, appearance and goal statistics are not counted in any official
records.
