The normal Football League had been suspended when World War II broke out.
It was replaced with regional leagues - and in 1944/45 Everton played in the Northern Division up until
Xmas and in a 2nd Northern Division Championship after that.
The 2nd Championship comprised all 60 teams who had competed in the pre-Xmas Northern and
Western Divisions.  Clubs did not all play the same number of games
Many of the games also doubled up as League War North Cup qualifying competition or knock-out ties.
Match, appearance and goal statistics are not counted in any official records.

* The 6-3 score after 90 minutes was counted as the result of the League match.
