The normal Football League had been suspended when World War II
broke out.
It was replaced with regional leagues - and in 1941/42 Everton played
in the Northern Division up until Xmas and the League Championship after that.
In the Northern Division 38 teams competed but only played 18 games each (9 at home and 9 away).
Match, appearance and goal statistics are not counted in any official records.
